Rock, Jazz and Brazilian Music are what Rogério Maudonnet's music is
about. He combines styles from Steve Morse, Pat Metheny and Egberto
Gismonti.
Guitarrist and composer, Rogério has created soundtracks for major TV
advertisements, such as Quiksilver, Sprite, Gatorade and Greenpeace.
With his band, based in Brazil, he blends a multicultural musical language
in a natural way.
"Working with ads made me experiment different genres of music.
Playing with the guys, Leandro Lauretti (drums) and Marcio Lugo (bass) made
this possible and fun."
In 2001 he received a scholarship sponsored by Fender Instruments
to attend the Berklee Summer Program.
In 2003 Rogério came second in the Souza Lima-Berklee Composition
Festival (São Paulo, Brazil), with the song "Brazil".
The Spanish guitar magazine "Guitarra Total" selected the tune
"Formula One" to be in the March 2004 CD issue. Guitarra Total did a great write
up on Maudonnet's demo CD containing "Formula One".
As Guitarra Total wrote: "Rogério is a very talented guitarist and
composer, and we've a feeling that we're going to hear great things about him
soon!"
